A Step to Remember

Please join me on A Step to Remember’s inaugural event where I will walk 58,276 steps, a step for each name inscribed on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Wall as well as an additional 1,575 for those still Missing in Action.  In honor of the 17 years of names listed on The Wall I will be wearing  a  17 pound weighted vest.  Join virtually or  in person to help honor and remember those who paid the ultimate price in the name of freedom while raising funds for a charitable cause! 

Wednesday 30 April 2025 at 07:00 AM CST - This is the official date and time for when I will step off, but please feel free to begin when it is most convenient for you. 

This event is for everyone whether you can join me in person or participate virtually!   Participate solo or as a group.  Walk the entire distance or pick a year and walk for the number of casualties that occurred during that time.    

In Person:  Veterans Park 7305 Hwy 119, Alabaster, AL 35007 - (Please note this event will take place even if it is raining.  I will stop based on weather conditions as necessary.)

Virtual: The time and place is up to you!

There are no registration or participation fees.  Whether you participate with me in person or virtually, my only request is that if you donate what you feel is appropriate.  100% off all proceeds and donations received will be given to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund’s Buy A Mile program to help assist in supporting the traveling costs of The Wall That Heals.
